We are pleased to announce that Masahiro Taniguchi, Chairman of Sakamura Hot Art Co., Ltd. received the “Distinguished Service Award for Science and Technology” at the Kyoto Prefecture Commendation for Invention and Other Meritorious Service. Kyoto Prefecture has been presenting the Governor’s Award for Distinguished Invention every year since 1957 to appeal the importance of “invention & design” and ingenuity, and to encourage the development of science and technology and the motivation for “invention & design” and ingenuity. The award was given in recognition of the development of Japan’s first hot former (multi-stage horizontal forming machine), and the company’s contributions to the development of the machinery, automotive, and construction industries through the development of numerous derivative models and forging methods over more than 50 years of dedicated technical development of hot formers, and by leading and driving the only manufacturer of hot former equipment in Japan {and one of only two even in the world, including our company}.
